An experimental audio-visual synthesis where Norse mythology meets modern data visualization. This piece maps MIDI channels to elemental forces - Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water - each responding to specific frequency ranges and stereo panning in the audio mix. The central ODIN node grows and shifts as elemental activity intensifies, with particle streams flowing between elements based on real-time audio analysis. Watch as harmonic relationships create visual symphonies, with each element displaying unique reactive behaviors: Earth crystals that spike with bass frequencies, Wind streams that flow with mid-range content, Fire chevrons that flicker with upper harmonics, and Water droplets that cascade in organic patterns. Built using Python with real-time audio analysis (librosa), MIDI processing (mido), and OpenGL rendering (pyglet). The visualization includes stereo panning analysis that affects particle emission patterns, creating a true audio-visual instrument where sound directly drives the visual narrative. Technical details and source code available on request. This represents an exploration in procedural audio-visual mapping - where data becomes art and music becomes visible.
