I Walked 5 Hours Alone to Spitzkoppe Luckily Escaping the Leopards!

Since I'm already in Swakopmund, I made sure to find my way to Cape Cross where more than 200,000 seals reside. Located about 130km north of Swakop, I rented a taxi for a day to drive me there with a stop at Zeila Shipwreck near Henties Bay. After visiting the Cape Cross seal colony, we then drove to Spitzkoppe via the dirt road from Henties Bay. The small car unfortunately could not navigate the final 8km to the campsite and so I had to walk under the intense midday sun ignoring the risk of a leopard attack. Upon arrival at my cabin in Spitzkoppe, I didn't waste time and immediately explored the area. I walked to the viewpoint to see the arch rock while endlessly admiring Grosse Spitzkoppe, the highest peak in the area.
