In this emotional and unforgettable journey, I leave Cox’s Bazar early in the morning and take a local rickshaw to the boat terminal. From there, I board a speed boat to Maheshkhali Island, one of the most peaceful and remote islands of Bangladesh. On the way, I meet a kind-hearted local brother who invites me to stay at his house. He welcomes me like a guest, but treats me like family. I stay at his home, eat local food, and drink fresh water from the island. He takes me on his motorcycle across the island, showing me the real village life of Maheshkhali, its open fields, the traditional salt farming from sea water, and the simple, hardworking people who live there.
