Is AI Supercharging Our Creativity or Stealing Our Voices?

Join us for a discussion on whether AI is supercharging our creativity or stealing our voices, featuring insights from Sam Altman and the impact of ChatGPT on storytelling, creative writing and human creativity in general. I get told I should confine myself to a single idea in each video, but I'm having difficulties with that. This video chases at least two different foxes. One is the question of whether the short story about grief and AI that Sam Altman shared as something that "struck" him favourably, is evidence of independent AI creativity. (Spolier, it isn't.) The other is why the tech bros building AIs are so set on getting them to be creative. But I also let my fears get the better of me and freak out over automated writing and get rich quick schemes, and about creative writing drowning in AI slop. (Or - hopefully - floating to the surface.) And I have some fun with robot inter-titles and an ambient spaceship sound.
