To those who are not in the know, meat and three is a staple in Tennessee and the South in general. It's relatively self-explanatory, you get meat and three vegetables, also known as meat and three veg. The combo meal actually is believed to have originated in Nashville, Tennessee, and we went straight to the source to try this Southern comfort food staple! Meat and three is super unpretentious and unformal and that's what I like about it! I'm all for fancy fine dining restaurants and steakhouses, but at the end of the day I just like good food and a chill time. Everything else is extra. In this vid, we try staples at Arnold's Country Kitchen, like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, collard greens, pecan pie, and mac n' cheese. It's all to die for! Often times the best southern restaurants and the best restaurants in Tennessee are the most unpretentious ones. The south cannot be matched when it comes to American country style foods.
