This AU is based on the fanfic Dark Matter by mysterycyclone. I highly recommend it. Short wrap-up: Peter, while 'being dusty', ends up in the most dangerous part of Gotham, where he tries to make ends meet. By day, he's an outstanding student at a prestigious school in Gotham; by night, he fights evil in alleys even Batman doesn't dare to enter. During one of the fights, he (as Spider-Man) is seriously injured while helping Dick Grayson and is presumed dead, as he went missing. I hope you enjoy!
