Welcome to Pure Oven Palate! ✨ In this video, I’m sharing my first recipe – a soft, moist and delicious Tres Leches Cake made with three types of milk. This classic three milk cake is light, fluffy, and soaked to perfection, making it a favourite dessert for any occasion. If you love baking cakes at home, this easy Tres Leches Cake recipe is perfect for beginners and cake lovers alike. 👉 Recipe: Step 1: Prepare the Cake Ingredients (Cake) • 3 large eggs • 1 cup sugar • 1 tablespoon vanilla • 1½ cups cake flour (or all-purpose flour) • 2 teaspoons baking powder • ½ teaspoon salt • ½ cup whole milk Method 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 2. Grease and lightly flour a 9×9 inch or similar cake pan. 3. In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar together until the mixture becomes light, thick, and pale. 4. Add vanilla and mix well. 5. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. 6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture. 7. Slowly add the milk and mix gently until the batter is smooth. 8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. 9. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 10. Remove from oven and let the cake cool completely. ⸻ Step 2: Prepare the Tres Leches Mixture Ingredients • 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk • 1 (12-oz) can evaporated milk • 1 to 1½ cups heavy cream Method 1. In a bowl, whisk together condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream until well combined. 2. Adjust the amount of heavy cream depending on how moist you want the cake. ⸻ Step 3: Soak the Cake 1. Once the cake is completely cool, poke holes all over the cake using a fork or toothpick. 2. Slowly pour the tres leches mixture over the cake. 3. Allow the cake to absorb the milk mixture. 4. Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (overnight is best). ⸻ Step 4: Prepare Fresh Whipped Cream Ingredients • 1½ cups heavy cream (chilled) • ½ cup powdered sugar Method 1. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream using a whisk or hand mixer. 2. Add powdered sugar gradually. 3. Whip until soft to medium peaks form. ⸻ Step 5: Assemble & Garnish 1. Spread the whipped cream evenly over the soaked cake. 2. Garnish with fresh sliced strawberries. 3. Keep refrigerated until serving.
