Welcome to my Days 20 and 21 of Solo Backpacking the South Island of New Zealand along the adventure filled Te Araroa Trail. Today’s the day I’ve honestly been dreading. It’s the day so many of successful Te Araroa walkers highlight as their leadt favourite day of the entire trail due to the higher risk of injury, fall or death. Even the official Te Araroa Trail Notes App request all walkers use EXTREME CARE. I agree wholeheartedly with the general consensus and feel strongly that this one section would benefit from several more cables or some other form of man made structure to help walkers be safe.
