Blog Post: http://wp.me/pJgaa-139 Buy from CS Toys: http://tinyurl.com/9lc676o --- For those of you that follow me on Twitter, you may remember a video I tweeted me making fun of the Samurai version of these figures. While I don't regret that, I certainly see them in a whole new light. Instead of starting out with slashing action or morphing action figures, Megaforce kicks off the 6.5" action line with the Battle Morphin figures, carbon copies of the style of figure that concluded Samurai's 6.5" line. Each figure is $14.99 at Toys R Us, so expect a $11.99 everywhere else. These figures feature little articulation, really only having a swivel in the left arm and elbow, along with a rotation at the right wrist. Everything else is automated by the joystick on the back or flat out doesn't move (the head and legs are in a static position). When you place your thumb into the joystick and wiggle it around, the Ranger's right arm and torso will move to create what can best be described as flailing. After playing around with these for a while, you start getting the hang of the force and motion necessary to actually puppet these halfway decent, but it still isn't perfect. That being said, the detail is pretty well done on these, and the sculpts of the chest designs and helmets are pretty spot on. The bulky muscles on the arms are offputting, but the rest of the figure is proportioned decent. Robo Knight obviously does the best job at being a nice looking figure, having some bits of silver paint, and armor to hide the bulky aspects of the figure. I wish you could pose their legs, as trying to get these to stand are an absolute pain. A stand to peg them into when not in play use would be an appropriate alternative as well. Each figure comes with their own card featuring...themselves (Red for Red, Blue for Blue, etc.) that activate videos in the Card Scanner App, as well as serve their collectable duty of being neat. At $14.99 a pop at TRU, I can't really recommend getting ALL of them unless you're a completist. That being said, if you get two of these, and have a child or buddy to fight with, having wars with these things is illegally fun. Like, it should be banned. Sure, I'm mentally a child, but damn it it's fun! --- Awesome Intro thanks to Ryokuya!
