During National Social Work Month this March, Franklin County Children Services is being recognized for its innovative efforts to help build a pipeline for the next generation of caseworkers through the Ohio Child Protective Services Fellowship. According to the National Association of Social Workers, there are more than 810,000 social workers in the United States whose pathway into this profession started out of a deep commitment to help uplift, defend, and transform the lives of people, their families, and communities. FCCS is teaming up with the Ohio Dept. of Children & Youth and the Public Children Services Association of Ohio to attract more students studying social work-related fields like psychology, family science, and sociology. Learn more about the innovative Ohio Child Protective Services Fellowship program and the mentors at FCCS who are helping train college graduates ready and willing to enter this rewarding but challenging field.
