This video is presented by: http://www.lowbrowcustoms.com Back in 2010 we took The Salt Ghost to El Mirage dry lakebed in California to have the SCTA tech inspectors give it a look over. We aimed to race the veteran race bike at Speed Week at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The Salt Ghost had raced at El Mirage and Bonneville many times from the 1960's through the early 1980's, however, we had to ensure we could get it ready and up to current safety requirements. During this tech inspection process we met Julian Duval Doty, who was sitting under the shade of the tech trailer. We got to speaking with him and filmed this interview. A small amount was used in the Salt Ghost: Return of the Nitro Express film, but when we came across this uncut footage recently we decided to share it with the world, and help remember Doty, who was a friend to many people.
