The DS-1, the most recognizable distortion pedal in history first rolled off the Japanese line in 1978, as the fourth Boss pedal ever produced. The DS-1 quickly established itself as the go-to box for raw unbridled crunch, ushering in a new era of chunky guitar rock in the process, as well as ushering in each new chapter in rock history from then on. This limited-edition black/gold color scheme with vintage silver screw will only be produced in the year 2017. And just as it was built in 1978, the DS-1 4A is all analog and built with performance in mind, housed in a road-ready chassis that carries Boss's five-year warranty.
