The Build OMA Terminal Modernization Program is Eppley Airfield Omaha’s most significant upgrade in nearly 40 years. Estimated to be complete in 2028, this comprehensive, $950M renovation will touch every corner of the terminal building to provide meaningful benefits designed to enable growth, meet the expectations of today’s travelers and enhance Eppley Airfield for decades to come. Supported by nearly a decade of planning, every part of this terminal expansion and modernization program follows Omaha Airport Authority’s master plan to stay true to what travelers appreciate about the Omaha airport while providing practical, cost-effective developments that deliver a premier traveling experience in Omaha, Nebraska. When complete, this modern terminal will feature multiple enhancements, including: • A 72% increase in space from 375,000 sq. ft. to approximately 646,000 sq. ft. • Centralized TSA airport security checkpoint with a single, unified concourse for a simplified experience. • Updated, state-of-the-art ticketing lobbies will now be located on the second floor adjacent to security. • An increase to 22 arrival/departure gates with the potential to add more gates in the future. • Larger gate waiting areas with new seating and more charging ports for enhanced comfort. • Two new international gates, complete with a U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrivals hall. • New restaurants and retail concessions after security within a new central pavilion and airport gate areas. • New elevators to enhance vertical circulation and accessibility. • New baggage screening system and larger baggage claims. • New and expanded restrooms including companion care, family restrooms and nursing rooms. • Accessibility enhancements throughout the terminal.
