Historical X-15 footage reel spliced into "The First Man" opening scene with two juicy deep house tracks accompanying in the background. Initial Video displays the X-15 prototype housing dual XLR11 reaction motor rocket engines burning ethyl alcohol and liquid O2 as their propellant while the second half displays the X-15A-2 piloted by Neil Armstrong (Ryan Gosling) which housed a single monstrous XLR99 engine, burning anhydrous ammonia, liquid O2 propellants with the help of Hydrogen Peroxide for the turbopump. Max flight speed was recorded at 7,270 km/h range (by William Knite). The X-15's T/W ratio is double that of a modern F16s at 2.07. Interestingly Joseph Walker is technically the only individual to have flown this beast above the Kármán line on two occasions reaching 105.9 and 107.8 km altitude, effectively denoting a transition to space and back.
