Been itching to get the drone up for ages, but weather and time has conspired against me. Finally, on the New Year Bank Holiday, we had a day without either wind or rain! Being a Bank Holiday, the place was as packed as any summer's day, and parking was difficult - The whole seafront was occupied. Thankfully, I managed to find an unexpected single spot that allowed me an hour, with the billy-bonus was it was a free parking place too! The only downside to my ad-hoc visit was that I hadn't charged my drone batteries for a couple of months. They are designed to self-discharge to around 70%, so they were only carrying enough charge for a couple of very short flights. But it was enough. I was finally able to get airborne and capture a little of the winter atmosphere of the seafront at Paignton.
