Pan of funeral, mourners listening to song STORYLINE: Thousands of mourners attended the funeral of an Israeli hostage on Sunday in Tel Aviv. 30-year-old Hanan Yanlonka was killed on Oct. 7, according to Israeli police. Yablonka's body was found in the Jabaliya refugee camp, in the northern Gaza Strip, together with the bodies of two other hostages, Michel Nisenbaum and Orion Hernandez Radoux. Radoux, 30, and Yablonka, a father of two, were both killed as they tried to escape the Nova music festival. Nisenbaum, 59, a Brazilian-Israeli from the southern city of Sderot was killed in his car. "I want to say to all this crowd that the state of Israel today is in a difficult situation, we are surrounded on all sides by Israel's enemies," said Yablonka's mother, Vered Yablonka at the funeral ceremony. "I want to say to Hamas, you will never beat us, never, never. The Jews were always murdered because they were Jews, it didn't work for anyone, and it won't work either," she said. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces growing pressure from the public to make a deal with Hamas to free the remaining hostages, something Hamas has refused to do without guarantees for an end to the war and the full withdrawal of Israeli troops. Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders have ruled that out. The war in Gaza started after Hamas-led militants stormed across the border, killing 1,200 people and taking some 250 hostage. Israel’s ensuing offensive has killed more than 35,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, and has caused a humanitarian crisis and a near-famine.
