Exactly one year since my last walkthrough ended, I'm back in a new generation! Sorry it took so long, I had other stuff to do. Also laziness. Sacred Gold is a hack made by Drayano60, the same guy who made Fire Red Omega. He actually released it not so long ago. My original plan was to play through Spirit Gold, his previous hack of this game (you've been burning up the midnight oil, kupo!) but Chevi pointed this new game out and it looked more interesting. It has all 493 pokemon, new battles and lots of side quests. This is going to be a Mono type challenge and a full pokedex walkthrough, but filling the pokedex is even more important in this playthrough than it was in FRO, since you can't finish the game if you don't. So in this part I get the boring stuff out of the way, but if you haven't played Sacred Gold I suggest watching this anyway. There are a few new things that you might find interesting. Next part will be pokemon catching. The starters are still the Johto Starters, so here's a quick roundup: Chikorita: I guess Sunflora might be a worse Grass type, but that doesn't really say much. Chikorita is the worst starter of them all, it's bulky and does learn Earthpower, but not worth it. At all. Its second Ability is Natural Cure, so that's cool if you do pick it (don't). Cyndaquil: A solid Fire type, fast and hits fairly hard, not the best out there but definetely not the worst either. It gets Flash Fire, with kicks ass. Totodile: the best of the Johto Starters, though I prefer my Water types special based. It learns a wide variety of attacks and can easily cover all of its weaknesses. A Guts Totodile will be an Intimidate Feraligatr. That's much better than Torrent. So yeah... Eevee. After beating Elder Li in Violet City, you can evolve your Eevee, but don't level it up higher than 13, because they learn their STAB move at that level. To get the second ability for your Eeveelution, get an Adaptability Eevee. Vaporeon: Excellent bulky Water type, and its hidden ability Hydration can help you with that. I prefer Water Absorb though. Jolteon: It's a good, fast Electric type, but lacks a varied movepool, so I'd skip this one. Quick Feet got nothin' on Volt Absorb. Flareon: has new and improved stats and a wide new movepool. It's actually pretty good in this hack. It can have Guts, but can't get burned, so get Flash Fire instead. Umbreon: Has a cool design and works as a wall. It gets Magic Guard, which kicks ass. Umbreon has lots of tricks up its figurative sleeves. Espeon: Sheer special power with Espeon, with a perfect movepool to cover its weaknesses (Power Gem, Aura Sphere). Also gets Magic Guard. Leafeon: Another physical based Eeveelution, a powerful Grass type with Natural Cure (take that Chiko). This one's my personal favourite. Glaceon: Another special sweeper, though pure Ice type isn't that cool. Serene Grace and Earth Power are icing on the cake. And that cry gives me chills. Also snow. Music used: Dj Paul Elstak - Luv U More Kingdom Hearts II - Twilight Town Final Fantasy XII - Giza Plains Final Fantasy XII - Dalmasca Estersand Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Encounter Dissidia: Final Fantasy - Chaos Victory Fanfare Co-produced by Chevitile: / chevitile This hack was created by Drayano60. He has a video where he explains how to patch this game. I'm using DesMume as my emulator. All credit goes to whoever owns what you're complaining about.
