Try & Buy - https://www.xlnaudio.com/ Review by @dwalshmusic DS-10 Drum Shaper by XLN Audio (VST/AU/AAX) is one of the first Addictive FX series, a transient shaper with a little extra, it combines three drum-specific Modes (Kick, Snare and Bus) with a trio of shaping algorithms (Classic, Natural and Smooth). The Bus is the most general-purpose option, while the Kick and Snare are tailored to the frequency content in which these kit parts would sit. The three algorithms influence the overall decay style, with Classic is pretty aggressive and 'pumping', Natural is more refined and subtle, and Smooth offers the smoothest decay of all. Like most transient shapers most of the work is done with the Attack and Decay settings (+-100 for each). There is also a "Mojo" control, which affects a particular 'quality' depending on the Mode: Tightness in Kick Mode, Body in Snare Mode and Presence in Bus Mode. After this you get output Gain, followed by Soft Clip and Bypass buttons. For me the DS-10 is an excellent drum-specific transient shaper. It's simple, clean and very effective for dialling in some great drum sounds. I would have liked to see an input gain and maybe some multi-band option but for the price it's still an excellent deal!
