Gurnee PD on Scene of a Fight at Gurnee Mills in Gurnee, IL

The Gurnee Police Department, Gurnee Mills Mall Security, and Gurnee Fire Department responded to reports of multiple juveniles fighting at Gurnee Mills Parking Lot J near the Marcus Gurnee Mills Cinema, 6144 IL-132. Initial reports indicated a subject had a knife and a person was stabbed. Officers arrived and found eight subjects involved in the altercation in the parking lot. One of the subjects, a 13 year old boy, was bleeding from the head. Another juvenile reportedly struck the boy in the head with a small knife, causing the injury. Fire crews treated the boy and he was not transported to the hospital. Officers learned all of the subjects involved were acquaintances. The Gurnee Police Department says this was an isolated incident and there was no threat to other patrons in the area. As of the time of this upload, officers have identified the suspect and are working to locate him. This incident occurred on 02/29/20 at around 8:46 PM.
