• The first facility Energy- from-Waste in Serbia is fully operational as of July 1, 2024. • 340,000 tons of waste is converted annually into renewable energy, supplying electricity to 30,000 households and heating to 60,000 households in Belgrade. • The Landfill Gas Facility is in the commissioning phase. • The Vinča Resource Recovery Center covers 133 hectares. • The New Sanitary Landfill has been in operation since August 2, 2021. • The Construction and Demolition Waste Recycling Unit has been in operation since August 17, 2021. • The closed non-sanitary landfill was the second largest among the 50 largest active non-sanitary landfills in Europe. • The entire 45 hectare area of the closed landfill will be remediated and turned into a green space. • The Leachate Treatment Facility treats 90,000 m3/year of leachate.
