OMG the kind of day you live for and dream about when it comes to treasure hunting metal detecting relic hunting. I was at a cellar hole with my Fisher F19 and got a really good signal and started digging hoping for a great find. I had already spent a bit detecting and it was quiet. Well I am in the ground moving dirt and out pops a really large silver coin, ,holy crap ! I did not expect when I cleaned it off to see that it was over 300 years old, that's right 1721 to be exact. A 2 Reale coin from Spain in really nice condition and at a spot that has been hit so hard. Well check the plug where I just dug and my metal detector tells me there is more in there , OMG its a coin spill from the 1700s. A colonial coin spill is a rare find for us and something we don't see at all. There ended up being a 1755 1 Reale coin in there with it. Metal detecting old places like this being deserted and abandoned so long anything is possible. Reading the landscape history I went and detected a small area with rock walls and groomed, overgrown now but you can see it was old field. Wait till you see what I found in there, I still can't believe it. Colonial and complete shoe buckle as beautiful as can be. HOLY CRAP !
