Skiptooth Live on The Ska Parade 1998

This was an absolute highlight of my time in the ska scene. I got my copy of the Ska Parade compilation when I was 15 and it was life changing, no exaggeration. I heard the bands on that comp and I was HOOKED on ska from then on, so getting to perform on the show just a few years later was super exciting! I don't have a lot of clear memories from the day itself except that it felt surreal to be included. I felt like we did not belong there, like the honor was too great for us, but we gave it our best shot anyways. I love this recording, we only had a 7 song EP so this is technically our longest and most expansive recording. We even made a song just for the occasion in hopes it may be one day included on another Ska Parade comp. Line up at this time was Kenny Solano on vocals, Bryan Barton on alto sax and vocals, Kyle Moore on Guitar, Evan Rusackas on bass, Mark Maynard on Drums, CJ Tillinghast on trumpet, Jason Michaels on trombone and myself, Steve Wilson, on tenor sax and we were managed by Bobby Dimas who was also our percussionist.
