Carnival Cancelled My Cruise, But Kept Every Dollar We Gave Them

We couldn't believe the twist ending to this story... On May 28, 2025, Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) accidentally canceled my August 12th cruise aboard the Carnival Firenze, including my Terrazza Cabana stateroom, due to an error by one of their own travel agents (or system). I lost my booking and CCL kept my Deposit. In this video, I walk you through the full story, what happened, how Carnival handled it, and what you need to know if you’re thinking about booking directly with them. Is this just bad customer service, or something more serious that Carnival needs to fix? I had booked directly through Carnival, repriced my cruise, and when I called back just a few hours later, I was shocked to learn that my entire reservation had been wiped out by them. Even after Carnival’s resolution team admitted the mistake was on their end, the only solution I was offered was a downgraded room at a higher price. My original cabin was no longer available, and the best they could do was put me on a waitlist, at the new rate, in case it opened up again. To make matters worse, they wouldn’t refund my non-refundable deposit, even though they caused the cancellation. I’m now out $100 deposit, unless I book another Cruise. In which I do.
