Hi there, Two months ago, I got a request to teach you guys how to play Hong Kong-style mahjong after using the mahjong tile "maahn" in my Money Practice video. I replied to say that I would ask my mother-in-law to help me (since she is the one who taught me). She said she would, and so here we are! Together, we've made three videos so far, with another on the way. In this one, I introduce my mother-in-law and she helps to explain a bit of background. In part 2, I explain the tiles, and then in Part 3 some winning hands. Then we will play a real game! Let me know what you think ... we had a lot of fun making this and hope you will find it interesting. If you do, please check out my other videos, subscribe and like! And if this is the first video of mine you've seen, please check out the other ones where I teach Cantonese and talk about Hong Kong cultural topics. You can also find me on IG and FB @cantonesecorner. And I have my own teaching website: www.cantolingo.com. Thanks again for watching, liking and subscribing! Happy learning, Sue Marguerite :) PS. Follow me on IG and FB: @cantonesecorner PPS. Learn more Cantonese with me and open new windows into Cantonese culture by taking my Traditional Characters in Cantonese Pronunciation courses over at www.cantolingo.com. Learn traditional Standard Written Chinese characters, their Cantonese equivalent (if any), the radicals, proper stroke order, and much more! Classes are on-going and combine online self-study with Zoom sessions. This is a university-level course based on materials from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is effective and fun!
