Shimenjian(stone gate valley) scenic area in the Lushan Mountain exhibits typical glacial landforms, with its formation dating back 1.2 to 0.24 million years ago. It is an U-shaped glacial valley. The movement of ice bodies carrying rocks along the valley and created the Shimenjian(stone gate valley). The steep cliffs of both sides respectively called Tiechuan Peak and Tianchi Peak. They are the remnants of ice slopes and ice sliding surfaces formed by the tremendous pressure of glaciers. The eastern side of Tiechuan (stone ship) Peak features towering stone walls with a vertical drop of 307 meters and a length of 420 meters, resembling the walls of a super skyscraper. With its original topography and the love of nature, Shimenjian presents a majestic and beautiful sight. Observing the peaks and ridges of Shimenjian from different angles, whether from below, above, left, or right, offers various stunning scenes and creates different visual impacts. Xianren Cave in Lushan is a rock cave formed by cliffs and erosion over time. Due to the continuous weathering by nature and long-term erosion by water and mountains, it gradually formed as a natural cave. But it does not tunnel like cave. It looks like a funnel put laterally. Here, one can find perching rocks and clear springs that cleanse the heart. Overlooking the mountains and witnessing the vast expanse of white clouds and flowing rivers gives a sense of being far away from the mundane world.
