Retinal Detachment Repair with Vitrectomy
This video shows the case report about woman, 68 y.o., who had rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with PVR C-2(posterior). She was operated on in 2013. During the VRsurgery I relaxed vitreous contraction in places with scar formation, stained the cortex vitreous remains in the macula area and removed it partly (without ILM removal, not to damage NFL) and put silicone oil in the end of the operation. But the patient had macula edema and epiretinal proliferation in 3 monthes, in spite of complete anatomical retinal attachment. During the second surgery (silicone oil removal) I removed that proliferation tissue from the macula and from the region where scars previously were. After 1 year the patient had stable VA (0.5) and normal IOP.
