I bought some $98 4-piston hydraulic mountain bike brakes off of Amazon to see how well they actually work. There's a stigma in the mtb world that you need to have the best parts to go fast and that's not always the case. First thoughts may be sketchy when a set of brakes costs less than a replacement lever blade for some boutique brakes, but these things outperformed my expectations.
