Four new works have been commissioned, inspired by Orkney and written for this performance and accompanied new films shot by Tim Williams in Orkney. This composition for string sextet takes its inspiration from the natural and man-made structures of Orkney depicted in Tim Williams’s film Orkney at War, a stark scenery where the forces of nature share the stage with relics of World War II.
