The Rockman game. When the Bracknell Bees's starting goaltender, Mark Bernard, went down with what proved to be a season ending injury, they were left to offer their last remaining goalie spot to a series of competition winners*. When London came to town in early January 1999, next man up Brian Greer was unable to play as he was nursing a hangover from some over exuberant NYE celebrations*, so in his place stepped 16 year old Gregg Rockman (good thing it was the school holidays). How would he do? Not well, but he would go on to play for the Bees properly ten years down the line. Here is the full game.
