Snickers 3223 Floorlayer Trousers reviewed now, I have just been sent some of the best work trousers available on the market for a floor layer or someone who spends most of their time on their knees. When I heard the brand new Floorlayers trouser from Snickers was on its way to me to review I was really excited to put it through its paces and see exactly what all the hype was about. When I first picked up the trousers it is no surprise that the quality of the fabric and the design is second to none. This, after all, is a pair of work trousers that comes from one of the market leaders in workwear and has built its reputation on a functional and quality product. This new Floorlayers trouser will not disappoint at all, the stylish twist fit of the trousers and the designed strength features makes you feel confident your investment into this brand will do you proud over your time wearing them. I was so impressed that certain weak points on so many trousers has been overcome by Snickers clever design, firstly the crutch area. The traditional design of two halves of a pair of trousers being stitched together has gone, now the trousers have a new saddle patch running in the opposite direction to the normal seam that is inherently a weak point with most brands, this should eliminate the all so often “ventilated” area you see on tradesmen when the crutch finally gives way. Snickers have skilfully incorporated the uses of a polyester cotton rip-stop fabric into the trousers making the durability even better, so no worries if you catch these trousers on anything sharp. The rip-stop square in most cases will be contained to a minimum area. If you spend most of your time in your trade on your knees then these trousers have a Kevlar kneepad outer fabric which ideally suits the brand new 9119 D30 Lite kneepad. The kneepad pouch is internal and has an adjustable elastic toggle to hold the kneepad in place when you are working. The trousers will suit any trade, not just a floor layer. My initial thought was for a Plumbing and Heating Engineer, or even an Electrician. I know the market target is for a floor layer, but any tradesman can benefit from the fit and durability of these trousers. I wore these for a day in my store and I can say they have an excellent cut. Of course you get all the normal features such as holster pockets, knife holster, leg pockets for screw drivers, a thigh pocket for a tape measure and a phone pocket too. If you are thinking of buying these trousers and you are spending anytime at all on your knees then you have to invest in a pair of the matching 9119 Lite Floorlayers Kneepads. Unlike normal foam kneepads on the market, these revolutionary kneepads made from D30 foam are energy absorbing and will aid your poor old knees for those punishing jobs. After years on my knees chasing walls and knocking out boxes in walls, I know all too well how painful it is to not use the correct PPE. For those who, like me, haven’t heard of D30, the fabric is essentially an extremely hard wearing, cut resistant, lightweight injection moulded foam fabric. The ergonomic design is pre-moulded to your knee and will sit perfectly while you work on your knees all day. The air ventilation will allow air flow while you’re working and reduce the moisture build up. These kneepads won’t flatten even after the most punishing of days.
