As part of our Road to Infinity Castle series, we are witnessing the most tragic villain backstory in all of Shonen: the tale of Gyutaro and Daki (Ume). In this episode, "No Matter How Many Lives," we see the aftermath of the battle against Upper Moon 6. While Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke celebrate their survival, we are taken back to the Rashomon River to see the brutal life that led the siblings to become demons. The animation from Ufotable during the "Hellfire" walk is a visual masterpiece, and seeing them choose to stay together even in the afterlife broke us.
