2022 Play the Fool Film Festival FREE Live Stream premiere – April 1st, 7-8:45 pm MDT Now in our second year, The Play the Fool Film Festival is the only festival of its kind worldwide featuring exclusively 2-minute clown and physical comedy films, live action and animated. WHEN: LIVESTREAM PREMIERE at 7pm MDT on April 1st. Watch at playthefool.ca OR WATCH ON-DEMAND: Watch at playthefool.ca ● The International Films will be available online, on-demand, the morning of April 1st. ● The Play the Fool Original films will be available online, on-demand, immediately following the April 1st Livestream evening Premiere. Our International Film program features films from around the world, with a special focus on shorts made right here in Amiskwaciwâskahikan, also known as Edmonton, Canada. This year, the festival premieres 6 Play the Fool Original films; 2-minute clown/physical-comedy themed films commissioned from 6 Edmonton/Amiskwaciwâskahikan artist-filmmakers and collectives; iHuman Studios Artist Collective, international mime artist Zillur Rahman John, award-winning stop-motion animation artist Zsófia Opra Szabó, emerging filmmaker and clown artist Ian Walker, award-winning filmmaker Clare Mullen, and multi-disciplinary artist and comedian Rizwan Mohiuddin. Special thanks to FAVA, Studio Post, and Metro Cinema.
