Stint 2 of the Dutch 24 Hours, and this one felt incredible. I got back in the kart at 23:45, deep into the night, at the point where the track was beginning to dry. That meant only one thing: the times were dropping fast and so was the margin for error. This was easily one of my strongest stints of the entire race. I was consistently one of the quickest karts on track, pushing the limits lap after lap. But the track was still tricky: one wheel slightly off line and you’d lose all grip instantly. It kept the pressure high, but it also made every clean lap feel amazing. Night racing is special. The lights, the speed, the rhythm. The whole world disappears and it’s just you, the kart, and the next corner.
