The year of the staycation, is this the ideal vehicle? 2020 was not a year to be going overseas, nor is 2021, therefore a holiday in the UK has been much more popular. We have some wonderful places to explore, Devon and Cornwall have seen visitor numbers increase greatly and the number of Transporters on the road is a testament to how highly regarded these vehicles are. I have bought a T6 Kombi Highline which I will be turning into a Campervan. There will be many videos featuring van electrics, upgraded headunit / stereo system, sound deadening and insulation. But what interior? Full camper or a removable unit such as Slidepods, Infinity Customs, Forty Winks, Woodys Wagons etc. I need to take a look at these and decide. I will need to choose a diesel heater, do I go cheap Chinese or a bigger brand such as Planar, Webasto, Eberspacher? Lots more to come The @Staycation Lifestyle van is coming along nicely. I bought a VW Transporter T6 Kombi Highline van 140bhp diesel SWB with tailgate. Slowly turning it into a camper van / day van with bed. I will also need something for cooking, cooling, sleeping, drinking ?? Choices to be made. I have lots more to do though, I have a new electrical system, using Victron components and a Lithium LIFEPO4 battery, so I obviously need to install some power devices. I have a new sound system, with Focal speakers and ibus 2.1 amp, Playstation PS4, which will be removable, TV's on headrests. Lots for me to look forward too and it would be nice to take you on the journey. Please do let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.
