I've planned to vid klamille for your birthday for so long and then I just couldn't do it, probably because nothing makes me more emotional than editing them, and I didn't have the mental stability for that hahahaha. in all seriousness, I cannot thank you enough for your friendship. especially over the last year we have gotten so much closer and I consider you to be one of the very few people that I can talk to and lean on in good and bad times. you are an incredible human being, with so much humour, compassion, drive and clarity and I cannot put into words how grateful I am that you've come into my life. I love you so so much jo ♥ I hope you had a kickass birthday and an even more kickass year ahead. and this video... I swear I didn't want to make it sad, but it's klamille so that is kind of a given. I've always wanted to edit this song to them since it's so deeply romantic and ageless and that's two of the things I mostly connect to klaus and cami. they really were one of the most beautifully written and genuinely romantic love stories I have ever seen. they've always reminded me of a classical love story in the best sense, with light and darkness meeting each other and realising they need each other to feel complete. I think it's needless to say by now that I've cried my way through this. I haven't vidded them in over a year but they remain the only thing that makes me stop editing because I need a break from crying lmao. I guess making this made me understand once again that after cami died, klaus merely existed for the rest of the series, but he didn't really live any longer. the moment she found her peace, he made HIS peace with dying, which is why his ending on the show is so fitting. and I don't need to see them reunite in the afterlife to know they found each other there again right after his death. everything about them is pure poetry. and the song is poetry, too, so I hope I could put these two things together the way I wanted to. and jo, I hope you like this.
