Mauritius 🇲🇺 — 7 days of exploring, tasting, hiking and slowing down. In this video, I climb Le Morne Brabant, explore the island’s food culture, try local dishes, watch whales in the wild, and take in the beauty of the ocean that surrounds this incredible place. From early mornings, the mountain to time out at sea, this week reminded me how powerful it is to step into a new environment and observe — as a baker, as a traveller, and as a human. Mauritius has history, depth and resilience. Standing at the tip of Le Morne, holding the flag, meant more than just reaching the top. 🐋 Important note about the whale footage: It is illegal to swim with whales in Mauritius. I did not enter the water with them. The underwater shots were captured using a water-resistant camera from the boat, in line with local regulations. Respecting wildlife and local laws is important.
