Join me for a walk around the town of Garforth, located just a few miles east of central Leeds. Today a commuter town for the big city beside it, Garforth has a long history, with coal mining the biggest driver of growth in the town during the Industrial Revolution. On our walk, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including The Miners Bar & Kitchen, Main Street, Garforth Miners' Welfare Hall, Garforth Library, Barleyhill Recreation Ground and Garforth Working Mens' Club.
