Heyyy! Thank you sm for watching, every view means the world to me :) I planned this project for over a year now, and although Im definitely not completely happy with its outcome, I still put lots of efforts and many hours into it, so im so grateful for any attention I receive for it, even if its just a glance at the thumbnail. Im aware this community can be very critical, nevertheless it would be wonderful to remain civil and kind. Thank you ♡ Why I am leaving this fandom: This might be too long for most to read, but I still want it written down as an explanation for my departure from the fandom. :) I have been a creator for this fandom for roughly a year, a part of the marauders fandom for around six years and fan of the franchise overall since childhood. This universe has meant a lot to me growing up, and the specific marauders fandom had been part of my teen years. Now that those years are ending for me, it’s also a great moment for me too to step away from this fandom. My very main reason for this decision is following; As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I no longer feel comfortable putting my effort and love into a universe tied to an author who does not support basic human rights and has been actively harmful to this very community. Especially in light of recent events, this feeling has only grown stronger, and I’ve decided to make this my last piece of content connected to the franchise. This is a personal decision based on my values, and it’s not meant to tell others what to do. I believe as long as creators avoid supporting official merchandise or anything that profits the author, their continued work is valid and valuable as this fandom still means a lot to many people. :) Aside of that, another thing I’d like to have said, based on my experiences as a creator in this fandom… I am very grateful for the love and support I’ve gotten as a creator over the past year and it helped me to grow and explore animation more deeply. However, I have felt that especially in recent months a flood of criticism has increased, another reason for why I decided to quit this fandom. A lot of people in the fandom seem to struggle with the idea that imagination is individual, and that headcanons are often personal, not universal. As an artist, that’s deeply important to me, as I rely on my creativity, own imagination and depiction of characters, something that often is met by harsh comments or even attacking DMs. Many also seem to forget what the death eaters and their goal truly are and instead glamorise them. It’s disturbing when people ignore or misunderstand the clear parallels to real-world events, hate and fascism, and instead romanticise them for their aesthetics. That for me is a concept I’m increasingly not too comfortable being around all the time, especially when I know that some people seriously (not out of joke) don’t get the ideology behind their doings and excuse it with attractiveness and it’s ’cool vibe’. It is an interesting concept, yes, but please don’t forget the original idea the concept came from. :) I did try to show this factor a little more in this animation, but I obviously also have my limits with illustrating N@zi alike propaganda. (Especially as an Austrian) It’s actually this very aspect that made Regulus such a compelling character to me. I’ve always been interested by how a 16/17-year-old could be drawn into such beliefs; growing up in a household steeped in them, while having a brother who chose a radically different path. For me, Regulus’ arc has always been about that shift: realising, perhaps only after Kreacher was harmed, the truth behind the ideology he thought he believed in. With his final act to go against everything he strictly had believed in, including his friends and everything he had built his ideals upon; is for me the factor that makes him for ME so very extraordinary. That complexity is what kept me interested in his story for so long, but again, that’s just my personal interpretation! But that all aside, I mostly loved being a creator, and am thankful of all the support and great people, creators and artists I’ve met through this fandom. Nevertheless for me it’s time to move on and leave this era behind. :) It all began with a Regulus animation, the one I’m most known for (Mama’s Boy on TikTok), and it feels right to end it with him too. He was my favourite character and the focus of my time in the fandom; a character overlooked in the original work, but deeply interesting and intriguing to me.
