Narali Bhaat or Coconut Rice is a traditional aharashtrian preparation typically prepared on the day of "Narali Paurnima". This recipe shows the CKP style recipe for this dish. Ingredients- 1) Rice - 4 bowls - washed 2) Coconut Milk - from 2 Coconuts 3) Jaggery - 2.5 bowls - or as per taste 4) Pure Ghee - 2 tsp 5) Raisins - Half bowl 6) Cashews - Half bowl 7) Cardamom - 3 8) Cloves - 3 9) Salt as per taste 10) Cardamom powder - 1 tsp Preparation- 1) Heat a pan on the gas and add pure ghee. 2) Add Cardamom and cloves for tadka. 3) Add rice and saute it well for about 2 mins. 4) Add Coconut milk and mix. Do not add all the milk, keep some for later to avoid extra addition. 5) Add some salt and let it boil. 6) Once it starts boiling, reduce the flame, add the lid and let it cook for about 5 mins. 7) Add remaining milk, if required. 8) Keep the lid and let it cook for 5 mins on a low flame. 9) Remove the pan from the gas. 10) Take another small pan and heat it on the flame. 11) Add 1.5 bowls of water and add to it the jaggery as per requirement. 12) Let it boil so as to allow the jaggery to melt. Add the cardamom powder. 13) Keep the rice pan on the flame and free it a bit. 14) Add the jaggery water to the rice and mix it well. 15) Add the raisins and cashews to the rice. Mix it well. 16) Keep the lid on the pan and let it cook for 5 mins. 17) Move it to the serving bowl. For more recipes, please subscribe to my channel.
