https://healthyvisions.com Ron Eslinger, Owner and CEO of Healthy Visions Hypnosis Center, Clinton, Tennessee was nominated by the Department of the Navy to Represent the Department of Defense as Ex-Officio member to the National Institutes of Health's Health Service's Committee on Complementary and Alternative Medicine and the National Guild of Hypnotist's receiver of the Researcher of the Year award for 2003. He graduated from St. Mary's nursing school Knoxville , TN , in 1970 and completed Nurse Anesthesia training at the University of Tennessee in 1974. Certified in Hypnotherapy in 1978. He received his BS degree in Professional Arts from Saint Joseph 's College in Wenham, Main , and his Masters Degree in Foreign Affairs for National Defense and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College , Newport , RI in 1994. A retired United States Navy Captain, his many assignments included Senior Nurse Executive and the Director for Patient Services, Naval Hospital Beaufort, SC, 2001 -- 2003. From 1996 to 2001 Ron was the Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and Assistant Department Head for Administration, Anaesthesia Department, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA where he founded and personally developed the Medical Center's Complementary Care Clinic. This experience led to consulting positions with other medical centers such as Kaiser Permeate, Portland , Oregon , Obici Hospital , Suffolk , VA , Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC and Naval Hospital , Beaufort , SC. Ron lectures extensively to medical and nursing organizations on Hypnosis, Stress Management, Anesthesia, HIV/AIDS, and Bioterrorism. He is frequent faculty to Clemson University's Continuing Nurse Education Conferences, Gatlinburg, the Nurse Anesthesiology Faculty Association, Frank Moya, CRNA Annual Review Course, and the Association of Women's Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing He has lectured to the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists National Conference and is presenting a four-hour lecture on anesthesia and hypnosis at the 2004 conference in Seattle. In addition, he has lectured on anesthesia and hypnosis to the following state anesthesia associations: Virginia , West Virginia , Florida , Idaho , Texas , Wisconsin , Georgia , South Carolina , Maryland , and North Carolina . He also presented to the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses on Hypnosis as an Adjunct to Childbirth. Captain Eslinger presented to the Defense Advanced Research Project's Agency and to the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States on Hypnosis in Military Medicine. He lectures on Bioterrorism to the University of Tennessee College of Nursing Masters program for Homeland Security.
