When one travels, one absolutely must try the local cuisine. I was fortunate to meet a local Vietnamese woman named Su who took me and Joon, her South Korean friend, to a local restaurant to try three Vietnamese dishes. This is the first dish. It's called bún đậu mắm tôm. It is a fermented shrimp paste with fried tofu and rice vermicelli. It costed 50,000 Vietnamese dong (about $2.50 USD).
