On January 22, 2026 the Brandt School welcomed Jennifer Morgan — a globally recognized leader and expert with over 30 years of experience in international climate and energy policy, diplomacy, and civil society leadership — to deliver the 2026 Brandt Lecture and reflect on her experiences driving forward climate-friendly policy during times of geopolitical upheaval. The Brandt Lecture is an annual tradition that brings high-caliber guests to discuss the big issues that move the world. Morgan most recently served as the State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action for the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, a position where she spearheaded the development of Germany's Climate Foreign Policy. Prior to her diplomatic role, she served as the Executive Director of Greenpeace International, overseeing global strategy, operations, and campaigns for one of the world's most renowned environmental organizations.
