The same happens when a fluid spins about some axis. The centrifugal force forces the fluid to move in radial direction with high pressure. The centrifugal compressor works on the same principle. The pressure of fluid (Compressible) is raised by spinning it about an axis by the help of an impeller. The impeller is housed in a casing. The fluid rushes toward the inner peripheral surface of casing and imparts high pressure there. The high pressure fluid is taken out from the casing at corresponding point and sent for its use.
