Dynamic camera behavior ca very often be a bit of a pain if you need to have your camera do 1 thing at 1 moment and then something else at another moment. Coding your whole player class to handle all that can be a total mess so now, unreal offers the gameplay camera system, a separate asset that can deal with all the different "camera rigs" which are rulesets for how the camera should behave.
