In this video, I will show you how to make a tea with only flowers! All the flowers used in this herbal infusion were grown in my garden. Spring has sprung here in zone 9b (Tampa, Fl) I collected edible hibiscus, nasturtiums, holy basil flowers, mint flowers, and tea olive flowers. This was a very simple herbal infusion to make Step 1) pick desired flowers Step 2) boil water Step 3) pour over flowers and steep Step 4) enjoy // Health Benefits Edible hibiscus : also known as Hibiscus acetosella or cranberry hibiscus or false roselle, has a deep red flower and is perfect for making tea. Some of its health benefits are that it helps to boost the immune system, contains anti cancer properties, and rich in vitamin C. Nasturtium : there are roughly 80 species of this flower, ranging in color! These are great to grown in a garden because they help to deter pests and are edible! Some of the vitamins and minerals that nasturtiums are rich in are B vitamins and Iron. They are also know to help prevent the onset of coughs, colds, and flus. Holy basil : also know as tulsi. One of the most powerful herbs commonly referred to as a protector or healer. They are most famous for their adaptogen benefits. Mint : mint is known to help alleviate allergies, aides in digestion, and eases nausea and headaches. Tea olive : also know as sweet osmanthus, osmanthus fragrans, sweet olive, and fragrant olive. These are commonly used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
