Welcome to the UND family! What an unforgettable Welcome Weekend to kick off the 2025-26 academic year. From the moment the residence halls opened for move-in on Saturday to the final cheers and new friendships made, the campus was buzzing with an energy that was simply historic! This recap video captures the best moments of August 23-25—moving in, the Sub Sandwich Feed, meeting your neighbors at the residence hall meetings, the Chester Fritz Takeover, and so much more. This wasn't just an introduction to college life; it was the start of a new chapter for the largest class in University of North Dakota history! A Record-Breaking Year 📈 You could feel it on campus—this is a big class. The first-day enrollment numbers made it official, with UND setting all-time records! Total Headcount: 15,440 students (a new all-time high!) Incoming Freshmen: 2,534 students (another all-time record, and a 14% increase from last year!) As Provost Eric Link said, "This is a special place, and the fact that students continue to choose UND as their university...is a testament to the quality and impact UND is making." Meet the Impressive Class of 2029! This historic freshman class isn't just our largest; it's also packed with talent and ambition. Just look at this snapshot: 30% are Presidential Scholars, recognizing their outstanding high school academics. 9 Army ROTC national scholars, the most in UND history. 5 new National Merit Scholars. A 30% increase in military-affiliated students.
