The 3rd Global Atlantic Fellows Convening, Oxford: newly-graduated Fellows meet for the first time.

In July 2023, more than 160 Atlantic Fellows who had recently from one of seven global Atlantic equity-facing programs gathered in Oxford, UK. The objective in bringing them together for the first time was so that they might share experiences and ideas from across diverse perspectives so that with the support of the Atlantic Institute, the would collaborate on projects designed to promote fairer, healthier, more inclusive societies. A Fellow from the Health Equity in Southeast Asia program might find they had much in common with the work of a California-based lawyer from the Health Equity U.S. + Global program. A dentist from that program taking with a Fellow dentist from the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity in South Africa might find ideas for improving dental care. An Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health might have an idea for a project with a Fellow for Racial Equity and so on. This 4-day gathering at Rhodes House in Oxford was designed to promote debate and catalytic conversations which, in turn, would lead to concrete solutions in the collective effort to eradicate inequity.
