Celebrating 150 Years of the Argyllshire Gathering

2021 was a landmark year for the Argyllshire Gathering, celebrating 150 years since its inauguration; 42 years of charitable activity through its Piping Trust and the inaugural year of its new charity the Argyllshire Gathering Trust Ltd. While all other major Piping competitions across the world were cancelled as a result of the covid pandemic - on the 26th August 2021 the Argyllshire Gathering put on a remarkable display of piping. The Argyll Invitational Senior Piping Competition featured seven world leading pipers with Argyll connections playing and competing before a socially distanced audience in the unique setting of the Argyllshire Gathering Halls in Oban. Thankyou to everyone who supported the Argyllshire Gathering Trust to put on this world class piping competition, we look forward to seeing you again this year on 26th August 2022.
