Detroit Fire Department - Box Alarm, Fisher Body Plant, 10/22/2014. In respect I deleted the falling scene and I did not added any radio traffic audio too! "Detroit firefighter Nicholas Benskey is in fair conditions after falling 2-plus stories during a firefight at the former Fisher Body Plant Wednesday morning, hospital officials confirmed. Benskey, 35, is a veteran firefighter with Ladder Company 7, WDIV, Channel 4 News reports. "The wall collapsed on the building and I believe he was trying to get out of the way of it," Detroit Fire spokesman Capt. Gerod Funderburg said. He would not share any information regarding the firefighter's injuries. Fires broke out in the former auto manufacturing facility at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday and the firefighter was injured when crews returned to battle a resurgence of flames about 7:30 a.m., said Funderburg. He said the cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation. "Part of the building started to collapse," Deputy Fire Commissioner Craig Dougherty told media at the scene. "It appears that there were two firefighters in the bucket on the platform. It appears that one of the firefighters jumped out of the bucket. Just about two stories high and the other firefighter remained in the bucket. It appeared at the time, to officers on the scene, that the portion of the building was coming toward the ladder." The Fisher Body Plant was built in the early 1900s to build bodies for cars and carriages. It retooled to help in the World War II effort, but lost importance after the war. It closed in 1984."
