We made this in 2014, intended for an EP we were cooking up. We wrote and recorded on the spot in a whole day. I barely knew these dudes. They had good vibes and bars, and that's all that mattered. The creative spark we had at that moment felt like we had stepped into The Twilight Zone. It might have been two days. Who knows. We were partying a lot. All I know is it took ten years to mix and master. It sat in demo version this whole time, but was released on a 2016 Writers Block compilation. It's a lot of life lived since then. The way I see it, this track is an auditory documentary of what we were doing at the time. Symbolic of free-spirited youth. An anthem for camaraderie. Absolute cinema - which is why I had to include the dialogue - I wanted you to feel like you were there with us. The whole vibe is just meaningful to me. Listening back, I can just appreciate how different we each were - from the flow, delivery, and lyrical content. Man, you can't tell me their lyrics ain't quotable for everyday use. I included them below for your convenience. We hope you enjoy this as much as we did making it.
